Reader Giveaway: Frugal Dad Canvas Tote Bag To Three Lucky Winners

It’s been a while since I offered a giveaway contest here at Frugal Dad.  I’ve been playing around with a site called where you can brand your own items, and I have to say that of all the things I’ve ordered for my own personal use, I like this canvas tote bag the most–I even had to order two more for my wife and my mom.

One of our custom tote bags makes a great companion to take along on trips to the grocery store (save a few plastic bags while you’re at it), to the library to stock up on great reads, or even to work with lunches packed, a change of clothes for the gym, etc.  The “” logo goes along with you to remind you to “be frugal” throughout the day!

Entering the contest is simple–just leave a comment on this post and check back next Saturday, November 1st (sorry, you won’t have this in time for trick or treating!).  I’ll select THREE lucky winners using the site and ship out your tote bag.*   Be sure to fill in your email address where asked when submitting the comment so I’ll have a way to contact you if you are a lucky winner.  Comments will be closed at 11:59pm the night of October 31st (Eastern time).  Winners will be announced the following day.  Good luck!

*Contest available to U.S. residents only

  2. Neat idea! I’ve used a site called to make personalized shirts and whatnot. Lots of fun.

  3. Too be perfectly honest in repect to needs and wants…. i don’t need this bag but would definately love to have it…

I spend a great time reading about being frugal.
New Ideas, old ideas … Save this, freeze that…
I would proudly use it to carry my groceries etc.

Keep writing, its a great site.

  4. I’ve been looking for a new bag to take my stuff in to teach each day… Not many frugal options around. This certainly would be.

  5. I would love this tote bag, I’ve slowly been collecting bags at the stores so I won’t have to use the plastic grocery ones!

  6. Who can’t use another bag? I try very hard to not use plastic bags, so I love the reusable ones. Thanks!

  7. I would love this for my husband, he does the majority of the errands (grocery, library) with our oldest four kids in tow so I can stay home and rest with our newborn. 🙂

  8. Ooh, I would love this bag. I take my own bags with me to the store, but I never have enough and still end up with plastic! I checked out, they have some pretty clever designs.

  9. I’m working on being better about using reusable totes, so this would be a great bag to add to my collection.

Thanks for the great giveaway. I am a BIG fan of Frugal Dad… you often write about the things I’m thinking about! 🙂

  10. I’ve always felt bad for using plastic bags so often. Sometimes I use my backpack but it’s not quite as easy to work with as a canvas bag.

  11. It would be great to have a reusable bag for my husband to use – I know he dislikes using my “girly” bags at the store, but he does it anyway, that wonderful guy. 🙂 Thanks for the chance at your contest!

  12. Canvas is the way to go! I have purchased multiple 99 cent reusable bags in the grocery stores and they tear!!! Thanks for such a great giveaway!

  13. Just found your blog last week and I’m love’n it! Keep up the good work. Oh, and yes, I’d love the tote too 🙂

  14. A canvas tote would be very helpful for the grocery store! Just recently found your site and I’ve been enjoying it!

  15. Messed up first time. Got a couple of bags like this. If I win, I’ll give one of those to someone else.

  16. Dear random number picker…feel free to pick me.

Dear Frugal Dad-I love your site. You’ve really given me a lot to work with and think about since I stumbled onto it over the summer. Thanks!

  17. I would love to have this bag for my husband to keep in his car when I call him to pick something up from the store on the way home from work! Thanks for all the pertinent info on your site!

  18. Good to see you Scott! I’d love this tote as I’m trying to go green and use less plastic bags. Great way to advertise your blog.

  19. I began reading your blog through Simple Mom. It’s a good read, and I’m picking up some useful tips. Thanks.

  20. Ooh, Ooh! I want to win!

To SouthernSeven, I keep my bags in the car, but I had a problem forgetting them in the car! So now, when I go to the store, I put my purse in the bag so I can’t forget it! 🙂

  21. I’ve been enjoying your site for awhile. Thanks for giving away some bags – free advertising for you and a free bag for some of your readers!

  22. Great bag! A local radio station did a promotion asking people to do ‘one thing’ to help the environment, and my one thing is not using disposable bags. I always try to keep one in the car so I have it every time I go shopping. Thanks for sharing your frugal tips! Good Luck to everyone!

  23. Love your site! Would love to have one of your totes to carry my Dachshound dog in when we go out. Why should Baby Girl walk when mom can carry her.The one she has now is a little small.

  24. I’ve been reading the site for a while and it’s one of 4 I make sure I get to each day. Thanks for doing such a great job with it.

  28. Love the site! I have learned so much from your ideas! Would love the bag as well! So many uses, and eco friendly!

  29. Great! My store give cents off when I provide a reusable bag. This may be the start of my first million. I retire a week from now and the high point of the day will be walking the dog. This would carry the plastic bags with the Lab specimens handily.

  30. Hi I raise goats and sometimes there is a need for bottle babies. When you have several to feed at one time it is hard to carry the bottles in a plastic bag without the bag riping so I use a canvas bag but it is getting a little worn from over use and washing so could really use a new one. hint hint p.s. useful site glad i found it.

  31. I love the bag! What a great way to help the environment and some stores give you a credit if you bring your own bags! Frugal bonus, even if it’s only a few cents per bag it adds up over time!!!!

  32. I love reading your blog – highpoint of my day many days. I really like how you’re practicing what you preach, and sharing the results with us.

  33. Hey Frugal Dad–thanks for the contest! I love your blog, and quote it often to friends. I hope things are improving for you and your family. Keep up the terrific and timely posts.

  42. Dear frugaldad,
I am very consciencious w/ recycling (cans,
bads, etc.)But sometimes, i’d be busy putting my
purchaes on the belt while the cashier already
starts putting my items on their plastic bag.
When i realize that she has done that, I’d transfer the items to my own bag. But then the cashier would throw away the first bag to the
the trassh can. GRRRRR. Maye, w/ a tote bag, I’ll
remember to put it on the counter first, so the cashier knows to use it instead. Now, if I don’t win a tote bag (w/c I rarely do), can I buy through you? (Do you get them wholesale so I don’t have to pay retail(99c)?

  43. Geez! Whatever happened to RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS? I say select me AND I’ll get to choose who TO give it to! Then you will have 2 winners with one bag!

The gal who feeds goats up there seems to need it BUT will you get more readership from goats?

  44. I need that bag for my hubby. Hopefully, it would be a visual reminder to keep that plastic tucked away.
